Former West Publishing CEO Passes away at 89

Dwight Opperman who “played a key role in developing Westlaw” passed away.  Although I  had not been familiar with the details of his life until now, it appears his role in moving West from a book publisher to an online database purveyor was quite important.  And this has had a huge effect on the working lives of lawyers and law librarians.  Full obituary is here: http://www.startribune.com/business/211501181.html.
