The July issue of the Vendor Liaison Update is now available on AALLNET.
This month all roads lead to Boston and the 105th AALL Annual Meeting!
Make sure to mark your calendars for the following events:
- The Exhibit Hall opens at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, and closes on Tuesday, July 24, at 3 p.m. Hours vary slightly each day. Don’t miss this chance to meet with legal publishers and system vendors to learn about new products and services, ask questions, win prizes, and pick up giveaways. You can also check your email at the internet cafe.
- The CRIV Vendor Roundtable: e-Books in the Legal Profession takes place on Monday, July 23, from 12-1 p.m. in HCC-Room 204. This session will be an opportunity to hear from legal information vendors about their entry into the e-book market.
- Program G4: Antitrust Considerations and the Association will be held on Monday, July 23, from 2:45-4 p.m. in HCC-Room 306. Speakers will discuss the AALL and Antitrust Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that was recently approved by the Executive Board and will address fact scenarios that might have antitrust implications. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions or pose additional scenarios.
- The Library Procurement Process Improvements Task Force will host a table during the Tuesday, July 24, Coffee Talks from 7:30-8:15 a.m. in the Hynes Convention Center Boylston Street Hallway (Level 3). The table topic will be Licensing Electronic Content: From Fair Use to Escape Clauses, and Everything in Between.
- The Committee on Relations with Information Vendors (CRIV) Business Meeting will take place Saturday, July 21, from 4-5 p.m. in Sheraton-Berkeley B.
- The Consumer Advocacy Caucus Meeting will be held Sunday, July 22, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in HCC-Room 303.
