ALM to Remove Legal News from Lexis and Bloomberg Law by 2026

Author: Andrew Christensen, Deputy Director of the Law Library at Washington & Lee University School of Law Library

First announced at the 2024 AALL Annual Meeting & Conference in Chicago, more details are now available about ALM’s upcoming removal of Law.com and related content from Lexis and Bloomberg Law.

ALM publishes a wide range of legal news publications focused on key practice areas, industries, and jurisdictions, aggregated through their flagship site Law.com. Popular ALM sites include The American Lawyer, New York Law Journal, Legaltech News, and Litigation Daily.

Since 2021, BLAW and Lexis customers have had access to ALM publications without a separate subscription to ALM required. Starting in January 2026, current and archived ALM content will be removed from these platforms and accessible exclusively through ALM websites.

Until the migration, Law.com content will continue to be updated daily on BLAW and Lexis, and will include archived articles no longer available on ALM sites. After January 2026, new Law.com articles will only be available through a subscription with the vendor, and access to articles older than six months may be purchased a la carte through ALM.
