Programs on contracts and license agreements

The Chicago Association of Law Libraries CRIV and the CALL Continuing Education Committee will hold a program on vendor contracts on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at John Marshall Law School from Noon to 1 pm.  The program is a great opportunity for librarians in the Chicago area to learn more about vendor contracts.  Registration ends on Monday, October 8.   Information on registering for the event can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JX2BXN3

Other resources to learn more about vendor contracts and terms and conditions and other licensing issues can be found in the recordings of prior AALL meetings on the AALL web site under AALL2go.  Some of the recent annual meeting programs include, from 2012, Walking the Tight Rope Between Licensed Data Access and Restriction, and, from 2011, Anatomy of a License Agreement, and Getting to Yes: Negotiating Vendor Contracts in Your Favor.  These recordings as well as sessions produced by AALL Chapters are a great way to learn more about license agreements.
